Improving Water Services in Seven Schools West of Ramallah

As part of efforts to improve the learning environment and strengthen essential services in villages west of Ramallah, 14 drinking water tanks and seven water pumps were supplied and installed in seven targeted schools.
This intervention helps ensure a more reliable water supply within schools, meet the needs of students and teaching staff, and improve hygiene, public health, and school facilities.
Providing water in schools goes beyond improving an essential service. It directly contributes to students’ health and comfort, the quality of the learning environment, and schools’ ability to continue providing services amid the challenges facing local communities.
Through investment in school infrastructure, we support vital community institutions that serve children and families, strengthen the resilience of targeted communities, and improve access to safer, more sustainable services.
This intervention is part of the project “Building Resilience in the Communities of the West Bank (Area C) to Transform the Current Shock into a Sustainable Future,” implemented by MA’AN Development Center in partnership with Oxfam and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
