MA'AN's General Director:
Sami Khader is MA’AN’s Director General and one of the founders of the MA’AN Development Center since its establishment in January 1989. The Director-General, who is appointed by the Board of Directors, is responsible for overall operations of the Center including: staffing, planning, managing MA’AN’s work and evaluating Center programs as well as implementing policy decisions and giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives; lobbying and advocacy, and represents the Center on the local, national, and international level.
The Program Director:
The role of the Program Director is to implement the mission & strategic goals and objectives of the organization and to develop and sustain MA’AN Center as a professional, efficient and effective development organization working for sustainable human development through:
1. Leading the Program team consisting of the officers of the different units & programs in carrying out MA’AN’s mission and plans.
2. Contributing to the management of the different programs & projects.
3. Contributing to co-ordination between the program areas to ensure maximum impact of the activities and interventions in the West Bank & Gaza Strip
The Program Team:
The role of the program team is to work as a collective leadership for the organization and to plan, implement and monitor all the programs that MA’AN implement. The program team consists of the program director, the finance officer and the programs officers. The team meets on regular basis.
The Programs Officers:
At MA’AN, there are five program officers who are responsible for planning, administrating, monitoring and evaluating all the projects that are implemented under their programs. They are supported by the projects’ managers and coordinators to run the different projects. All the officers report to the program director.
