Networking Activity Implemented as Part of the “Travelling Farmers” Series to Foster Cooperation and Knowledge Exchange Among Youth Cooperative Initiatives
MA’AN Development Center and the Popular Art Centre implemented a networking activity as part of the “Travelling Farmers” series under the Youth Partnership Forum Project, which aims to support and empower cooperative initiatives while enhancing communication and the exchange of experiences among them.
The activity, held on June 9, 2026, in Ramallah, brought together more than 50 young men and women representing active cooperative initiatives participating in the forum from various governorates across the West Bank.
The program included a field visit to one of the facilities of the Poultry Breeders Cooperative Association, where participants learned about the association’s administrative and organizational experience, its operational and production mechanisms, and the coordination and cooperation methods among breeders that contribute to strengthening the sustainability of cooperative work.
The visit also included the Agricultural Products Marketing Center “Mawares”, where participants were introduced to the center’s experience in marketing agricultural products, as well as its marketing and distribution strategies and approaches to connecting farmers with markets, helping improve marketing efficiency and increase product access to consumers.
The activity concluded with a group session at Independence Park, during which participants reflected on the key lessons learned from the field visits and discussed opportunities for future collaboration among the participating initiatives. The park’s director welcomed the participants and provided an overview of the park’s facilities, green spaces, and services, highlighting its role as a public space that supports social, cultural, and community activities.
This activity is implemented under the Youth Partnership Forum Project, carried out by MA’AN Development Center and the Popular Art Centre funded by the Belgian Socialist Solidarity (SOLSOC), with the aim of supporting youth cooperative initiatives, strengthening their capacities, and expanding opportunities for cooperation and knowledge exchange among them
