Networking Visit to Strengthen the Resilience of the Education Sector in Gaza

The Youth Partnership Forum organized a networking visit to Al-Azhar University and Al-Quds Open University in Gaza City, with the participation of Gaza Municipality and the “Sallet Baladna” initiative. This comes in response to the growing need to support the educational environment and ensure the continuity of the learning process amid current challenges.
This activity falls within the forum’s community engagement pillar, focusing on involving youth in efforts to rehabilitate the university environment, support the return to in-person education, develop their leadership skills, and enhance their sense of social responsibility.
The visit also highlights the importance of coordination with partners to build an integrated support network that contributes to sustaining efforts and connecting students with impactful community initiatives and opportunities.
The visit included interactive meetings with university administrations, as well as field tours to assess the extent of damage and identify key needs. The forum’s volunteer committee actively participated in planning and implementation, reinforcing the role of youth in leading community action and transforming it into tangible interventions.
The visit resulted in a set of practical recommendations, focusing on rehabilitating educational facilities, removing rubble and waste, improving infrastructure, and developing safe learning spaces for students. It also emphasized enhancing environmental awareness and encouraging student participation in community activities, contributing to a more stable and sustainable educational environment.
This activity underscores the pivotal role of the Youth Partnership Forum in empowering youth and strengthening their community engagement through building effective partnerships and translating needs into concrete actions—especially in light of the challenges facing the Palestinian context.
It is worth noting that the Youth Partnership Forum project is implemented under the supervision of the MA'AN Development Center and the Popular Art Centre, with support and funding from Solsoc.
