MA’AN Development Center Implements Urgent Response to Support 11 Displaced Bedouin Families in Jiftlik with Water and Sanitation Services

As part of the emergency humanitarian response and within the Multi-Sectoral Emergency Response Project, and with the support of Solidarités International, MA'AN Development Center implemented an urgent intervention to support 11 displaced Bedouin families consisting of 58 individuals, including 31 children and 15 women, in the Al‑Jiftlik area. The families had recently moved from Tal Al‑Samadi to Abu Al‑Ajaj following escalating settler attacks, which included repeated assaults, livestock theft, and direct threats, in addition to the burning and destruction of residential structures. These incidents forced the families to flee and led to a severe deterioration in their living conditions, depriving them of shelter and basic services.
The intervention aims to ensure access to safe water, improve displacement conditions, and reduce health risks for the affected families. The response included providing water trucking services for two months, distributing hygiene kits, and sharing an awareness brochure on hygiene practices to promote safe and healthy behaviors.
As part of strengthening community accountability, a complaints and feedback mechanisms brochure was also distributed to ensure that families have access to clear and safe communication channels with MA'AN Development Center, enhancing transparency, accessibility, and the effective collection of community feedback.
