
A delegation from MA'AN Development Center visited Tulkarm and met with Governor Abdullah Kamil and Mayor Riyad Awad to discuss cooperation on a project that provides materials for water networks and waste containers of different sizes. The initiative aims to meet the urgent needs of the governorate under the difficult conditions caused by the Israeli aggression.
The delegation included Eng. Hassan Abu El-Rub, Eng. Alaa Juma'a and Eng. Ranin Abu Atiya, in the presence of Eng. Nihad Abu Sheikhah from the municipality and other representatives.
During the meeting, the Governor praised MA’AN’s efforts and its vital role in supporting citizens, especially after repeated damage to water networks. He also appreciated the cooperation between the municipality and all institutions to support resilience.
He highlighted the main needs of the governorate, mentioning the work of the Dignity Committee to support displaced families from Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, and the joint coordination with international and local partners to ensure proper management of aid.
Mayor Awad also praised the cooperation with MA’AN and emphasized the project’s importance, while Eng. Abu Rab explained that it includes rehabilitation of water networks and supply of containers, confirming MA’AN’s commitment to continue implementing projects that enhance community services and infrastructure development in Tulkarm.
