“Empowering Beitillu Women through Food Processing: Specialized Training to Strengthen Economic and Social Resilience”

As part of the activities with the Beitillu Women’s Cooperative, under the project “Strengthening the Social and Economic Resilience of Women and Persons with Disabilities in Palestine”, implemented by MA’AN Development Center in partnership with APHEDA(Australia), the cooperative completed an intensive six-month training course. The training included 120 hours of hands-on practice in food processing.

The course focused on making traditional local products such as hot chili sauce, tomato paste, thyme mixes, jams, and pickles.

The goal was to help members improve their food processing skills, ensure product quality and safety, and create better marketing opportunities. This will support the cooperative’s sustainability and its ability to compete in local markets.
