MA’AN Development Center concluded the activities of its Remedial Education Program by organizing a recreational day at Kafr Ni’ma Park, with broad participation from students, teachers, and facilitators from the targeted villages of Budrus, Qibya, Shabtin, Al-Midya, and Ni’lin.
The day featured a variety of recreational and interactive activities, including group and physical games, inflatable games, face painting, and entertainment activities, creating an atmosphere that combined joy, interaction, and learning.
The activity was part of the program’s broader approach, which goes beyond addressing educational gaps to providing children with safe and positive spaces where they can enjoy themselves, cope with the pressures and challenges they have experienced, and strengthen their sense of safety, engagement, and self-confidence.
The recreational day marked the conclusion of the 20-day Remedial Education Program, which adopted interactive teaching methods, including learning through play, practical activities, and classroom participation. The program witnessed strong engagement from students, with these approaches helping make subjects they had previously found difficult or unappealing easier and more enjoyable, while encouraging greater participation and interest in learning.
The program also provided unemployed teachers and facilitators with an opportunity to utilize their educational experience and skills through a Cash-for-Work scheme, enabling them to contribute directly to supporting students and creating a more interactive and inclusive learning environment.
The program was implemented as part of the project “Building Resilience in the Communities of the West Bank (Area C) to Transform the Current Shock into a Sustainable Future,” with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in partnership with Oxfam.
