MA’AN Development Center Rehabilitates Water and Sanitation Facilities at St John Eye Hospital in Gaza

As part of its efforts to respond to humanitarian and health needs in the Gaza Strip, MA’AN Development Center carried out rehabilitation and maintenance work on sanitation facilities and water and sewage networks at St John Eye Hospital in Gaza City. The intervention was implemented under the UNICEF-funded project, “Emergency Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Response for Affected Populations in the Gaza Strip.”
The work included repairing and rehabilitating sewage networks, maintaining water supply networks in bathrooms and toilets, and increasing the number of operational sanitation facilities serving patients, medical and administrative staff, and visitors.
This intervention helps create a safer and healthier environment within the hospital, reduce health and environmental risks, and support the continuity of medical services, ensuring more appropriate and dignified conditions for patients, staff, and visitors.
