As part of its ongoing humanitarian response to the needs of displaced and conflict-affected families in the Gaza Strip, MA’AN Development Center has continued, over the past several months, to implement humanitarian interventions aimed at providing essential non-food items (NFIs), in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). These efforts seek to support the most vulnerable families and help mitigate the impact of prolonged displacement and the challenging humanitarian conditions faced by the population.
As part of these interventions, distributions were carried out across displacement sites in different areas of the Gaza Strip, including the provision of 754 family tents and 7,580 solar lanterns. These essential items have contributed to addressing the immediate needs of displaced families and strengthening their ability to cope with difficult living conditions, particularly amid continued displacement and limited access to essential goods and services.
The distributions were implemented in accordance with established humanitarian targeting criteria, with priority given to displaced families and those facing the greatest levels of vulnerability and need. This approach helped ensure that assistance reached the most vulnerable populations across different areas of the Gaza Strip.
These interventions form part of MA’AN Development Center’s continued efforts to respond to urgent humanitarian needs and strengthen the resilience of affected families and communities. Through collaboration with international and local partners, MA’AN continues to expand the scope of its humanitarian interventions in line with the growing scale and severity of needs across the Gaza Strip.
MA’AN Development Center reaffirms its commitment to continuing to support displaced and affected families and to contributing to safer and more dignified living conditions for the most vulnerable populations, in line with humanitarian principles and the actual needs and priorities of affected communities.
