Launch of Agricultural Land Rehabilitation Works under Cash-for-Work Activities

MA’AN Development Center has commenced agricultural land rehabilitation works in the targeted areas as part of the project “Building Resilience in West Bank/Area C Communities to Transform the Current Shock into a Sustainable Future,” implemented in partnership with Oxfam and funded by BMZ.
These works are being carried out under the Cash-for-Work activities, with the aim of providing temporary employment opportunities for workers from local communities while supporting farmers in rehabilitating their land and enhancing its productive use.
The implemented works include land clearing and cleaning, construction and rehabilitation of stone terraces, land preparation for cultivation, ploughing, fence installation, and addressing specific agricultural needs, such as rehabilitating agricultural wells and irrigation networks, based on the findings of the field assessment conducted for each plot of land.
This intervention contributes to strengthening farmers’ resilience, protecting agricultural land from neglect and soil erosion, and supporting livelihoods in the targeted communities.
