MA’AN Supports Economic Empowerment and Green Development in Eastern Jenin Villages under the “Endurance” Project

In line with its human rights-based approach and commitment to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals—particularly poverty reduction and food security—Ma’an Development Center implemented a development intervention in the eastern villages of Jenin (Faqqua, Jalameh, Jalbun, Arraneh, and Arabouna), based on the participatory 2025 Cluster Development Plan. The intervention was carried out in partnership with Marj Ibn Amer Municipality under the EU-funded “Endurance” project, implemented by PAIC.

The intervention focused on strengthening sustainable resource management, supporting livelihoods, and expanding inclusive economic opportunities in Area C. It included providing financial grants to grassroots organizations such as the Jalameh Women’s Handicraft Cooperative and Faqqua Women’s Center Association to enhance their institutional capacities and economic empowerment programmes, with a focus on women, youth, and smallholder farmers.
This effort contributes to improving living conditions, creating job opportunities, enhancing resource efficiency, and supporting agricultural value chains, in line with inclusive and sustainable green development in Palestine.
