Aid parcels distributed to 517 vulnerable families in Masafer Yatta

MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with Oxfam and funded by the Italian Cooperation, has distributed 517 food parcels to families among the worst affected in Masafer Yatta, in the southern occupied West Bank, as part of an emergency response project in the area.
The distribution comes as Palestinian families in Masafer Yatta face worsening humanitarian and economic pressure, with communities increasingly affected by movement restrictions, settler violence and repeated Israeli military measures that have disrupted livelihoods and deepened food insecurity.
The aid reached 517 families across 24 communities and hamlets, including Tuba, Al-Halawa, Sfai Al-Foqa, Sfai Al-Tahta, Al-Asafer, Jinba, Al-Fakhit, Al-Rakeez, Al-Majaz, Al-Tabban, Mughayir Al-Abeed, Shaab Al-Butm, Al-Markaz, Saddat Al-Tha'la, Qawawis, Huwara, Al-Tuwani, Al-Jawaya, Al-Mufaqara, Khallet Al-Daba’, Susya, Umm Nir and Wadi Jheish.
According to MA’AN, 2,220 people benefited from the distribution, which aimed to help families meet immediate food needs and ease some of the daily pressures they face amid the deteriorating conditions in the area.
MA’AN said the intervention forms part of its ongoing work with partners to support Palestinian communities facing heightened vulnerability and help them remain on their land despite escalating humanitarian challenges.
