MA’AN Development Center held a coordination meeting today at its headquarters as part of the “Enhancing Resilience in West Ramallah Communities” project, implemented under the BMZ/TDA Transitional Development Assistance Program in partnership with Oxfam.
The meeting brought together former and newly elected heads of local councils, as well as representatives of the project’s community committees in the targeted villages. It aimed to ensure the continuity of local coordination, facilitate the handover process between councils, and update working mechanisms and project-related committees.
During the meeting, MA’AN emphasized the importance of partnership with local councils and community stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of project activities in a transparent and accountable manner, while responding to the actual needs of the target groups in the villages of Shabtin, Qibya, Budrus, Ni’lin, and Al-Midya.
Participants also reviewed the project’s main components, which include temporary employment opportunities, land rehabilitation and support for farmers, improvements to community infrastructure and water and sanitation services, support for local producers and food security, as well as assistance for small businesses and educational and community services.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation that the project’s success depends on cooperation and shared responsibility between MA’AN Development Center, local councils, and community committees, in order to strengthen community resilience and ensure sustainable development impact.
