MA’AN Implements “Health Starts at Home” Initiative to Support Displaced Families in Saned Camp, West of Deir Al-Balah
MAAN Development Center implemented the initiative “Health Starts at Home,” carried out by the Protection Committee in the Al-Furta area and its surroundings at the SAND Camp, west of Deir al-Balah.
The initiative included distributing laundry supplies to displaced families living in the camp.
It comes amid the continued difficulty in accessing basic services, where women in Gaza are often forced to rely on hand-washing to meet their families’ daily needs.
The initiative helped strengthen families’ ability to maintain personal hygiene and clean clothing under harsh displacement conditions, supporting public health and enhancing dignity and quality of life inside the camp.
It also emphasized that simple, community-based interventions rooted in real needs can have a tangible impact on people’s lives and contribute to strengthening health, dignity, and community resilience.
