Completion of Signing Joint Grant Agreements to Support Agricultural and Development Projects in East Jenin Villages
“MA’AN Development center completed the signing of joint grant agreements with a number of private sector companies, grassroots institutions, and agricultural and women’s cooperatives in the villages of Jenin, as part of ongoing efforts to support agricultural and development projects and strengthen the resilience of local communities in the targeted areas.
The agreements covered a number of development initiatives designed based on community needs and the outcomes of the “Cluster” Development Plan, contributing to economic and social development, improving livelihoods for farmers, and supporting sustainable agricultural production initiatives.
The signed projects focus on enhancing agricultural and productive infrastructure through interventions that include solar energy systems, the development of agricultural nurseries, and improved management of agricultural resources, thereby strengthening the capacity of local communities to face economic and environmental challenges.
MA’AN affirmed that these agreements come within a vision aimed at strengthening partnerships between the private sector, grassroots institutions, and agricultural cooperatives, ensuring complementarity among local actors and achieving sustainable development impact in the targeted areas.
This activity is implemented within the framework of the “Resilience Programme – Climate Smart Agriculture Practices for Sustainable Land Development and Irrigation Water Management in Palestine,” funded by the European Union for the years 2023–2027. The programme aims to support sustainable development, promote climate-smart agriculture practices, and improve water resource management in rural areas, particularly in Area C communities facing ongoing challenges.
