MA’AN Development Center Conducts Training Workshop to Enhance Data Collection Accuracy for Community Committees

MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with Oxfam and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the Transitional Development Assistance (TDA) program, conducted a training workshop targeting members of community committees from the targeted villages. This workshop comes as part of the ongoing follow-up of the project “Building Resilience in West Bank Communities to Transform the Current Shock into a Sustainable Future.”
The workshop aimed to unify data collection mechanisms and improve their accuracy by providing hands-on training on the food processing questionnaire designed for food producers. This contributes to strengthening the committees’ capacity to collect reliable data that reflects the reality of this vital sector. The training also included a questionnaire targeting shop owners and small businesses, with the goal of enhancing data quality and supporting a better understanding of local economic activities.
The session also included a review of fact sheets for each council/municipality, ensuring they are properly completed and updated, which contributes to building a reliable database that supports future development interventions.
This workshop is part of a series of activities aimed at enhancing the efficiency of community committees in managing and implementing field tasks, and improving the tools used in their work. It also supports data-driven planning and contributes to strengthening community resilience and the sustainability of project interventions
