Delegations from the Ministry of Finance and Planning and the NGO Development Center Visit MA'AN Development Center to Review the Progress of the NOUR Project

Ramallah, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 On Tuesday, April 21, 2026 MA'AN Development Center welcomed two delegations from the Ministry of Finance and Planning and the NGO Development Center, with the aim of reviewing the progress of the NOUR Project. 

 

The delegation from the Ministry of Finance and Planning, representing the Social Recovery and Job Creation Project Management Unit, included Hassan Mahareeq, Social Specialist, and Mohammad Abu Bakr, Environmental Specialist. The second delegation from the NGO Development Center was represented by Mohamed Aboalrob, Senior Programs Officer, Mahran Dadou, Project Officer, and Samer Al-Masri, Environmental and Social Consultant. 

 

During the visit, the NOUR Project team at MA'AN Development Center delivered an introductory presentation highlighting the key implemented activities, the level of progress achieved in project implementation, as well as the results accomplished to date and the future plans to complete the remaining project phases. 

The meeting also featured discussions between both sides on the main challenges and available opportunities, in addition to ways to strengthen joint cooperation in order to achieve the project's objectives. 

 

It is worth highlighting the commendable follow-up and close engagement that both the Ministry of Finance and Planning/ World Bank and the NGO Development Center - as the project's managing entity - have consistently demonstrated throughout the project's implementation. This level of oversight reflects genuine confidence in the executing team and a real commitment to seeing the NOUR Project deliver meaningful results for the women entrepreneurs it serves. 

 

At the conclusion of the visit, the members of both delegations expressed their appreciation for the efforts made in implementing the project, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and collaboration to ensure the achievement of the desired results. 

 

NOUR Project is implemented within the framework of the Social Recovery and Job Creation Program, funded by the World Bank through the Ministry of Finance and Planning, and implemented by the NGO Development Center.
