Ministry of Labor Delegation Visits MA'AN Development Center to Explore Collaboration on JobMatch.ps

On April 15, 2026, MA'AN Development Center hosted a delegation from the Palestinian Ministry of Labor, comprising Mr. Asem Abu Baker, Director General of the Employment Services Department, and Mr. Moath Abu Baker, Director of the Electronic Portal. The visit comes as a direct follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between MA'AN Development Center and the Ministry of Labor at the end of 2025 - translating that formal commitment into concrete steps on the ground.

The delegation was welcomed by HR Department Manager Mr. Wahib Hanani and the MA'AN Hub team. Mr. Asem Abu Baker opened the session by presenting the Ministry of Labor's vision and strategic plans around employability in Palestine - covering the ministry's priorities, its direction for the coming period, and how national initiatives like JobMatch.ps fit within that broader strategy.

Mr. Moath Abu Baker then gave the MA'AN team a hands-on walkthrough of the JobMatch.ps platform, demonstrating its features and capabilities and how organizations can use it to post vacancies and connect with job seekers across Palestine. The session sparked a productive discussion on how MA'AN can best integrate the portal into its hiring processes. Mr. Wahib Hanani shared how the organization currently manages recruitment, offered several practical suggestions to further strengthen the platform, and confirmed that MA'AN will begin using JobMatch.ps to advertise its job openings going forward.

The MA'AN Hub team also presented the Hub's current projects and activities, opening a broader conversation around potential areas of collaboration with the Ministry - particularly in youth employment, entrepreneurship support, and workforce development.

This visit reflects MA'AN's ongoing commitment to turning partnerships into action, and to contributing to a stronger, more connected Palestinian labor market across the West Bank and beyond.
