MA’AN Development Center Conducts Field Visit to Support Projects and Enhance Economic Resilience in Eastern Jenin

As part of the ongoing efforts by the MAAN Development Center to enhance the resilience of Palestinian communities both economically and socially, the Center, in partnership with the Palestinian Agricultural Institutions Coalition, the technical committee of the targeted sites, and Marj Bin Amer Municipality, conducted a field visit to the eastern villages of Jenin Governorate, including Arrana, Arabouna, Al-Jalama, Jalbun, and Al-Faqou’a. This visit was carried out ضمن the activities of the “Tahammul” project, funded by the European Union.
The visit aimed to assess the capacities and potential of institutions and companies applying for financial grants to develop their capabilities and strengthen their resilience. Field visits were conducted to projects affiliated with four companies and five grassroots institutions, where opportunities for providing financial support were explored to enhance their role in achieving local economic development. This comes within the framework of the project’s efforts to strengthen economic and social resilience in Area C through the sustainable management of natural resources, including land, water, and energy, as well as promoting the adoption of climate-smart agricultural practices.
The visit also reflected the diversity of targeted economic projects, which included sectors such as climate-smart agriculture, solar energy utilization, seedling production, and food processing and production. These efforts contribute to meeting local market needs and creating sustainable job opportunities, particularly for women, youth, and small-scale farmers.
These efforts fall within the vision of the MAAN Development Center and its partners to support comprehensive development and strengthen the resilience of Palestinian communities through effective partnerships with the private sector and local institutions, achieving a sustainable developmental impact in the long term.
