MA’AN Development Center Implements Emergency Response to Support Displaced Families in Jenin and Tulkarm with Funding from the oPt Humanitarian Fund
MA’AN Development Center continues implementing its humanitarian intervention to support displaced families in the northern West Bank, amid the escalating humanitarian situation in the Jenin and Tulkarm camps since late 2023, which has resulted in widespread displacement
and deteriorating living conditions.
The project, funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund, aims to provide essential clothing assistance through electronic vouchers valued at 300 NIS per household. This approach helps preserve beneficiaries’ dignity, enhances their ability to meet their needs flexibly, and supports local markets.
In the first phase, 880 displaced families in Jenin benefited from the intervention. The ongoing second phase targets an additional 1,743 families in Jenin and Tulkarm, bringing the total number of beneficiary households under this intervention to 2,623 families (more than 11,000 individuals).
This intervention comes in response to urgent needs identified through field assessments and close coordination with humanitarian partners, with the aim of improving the living conditions of displaced families and strengthening their resilience amid the ongoing crisis.
As a result, the total number of displaced families supported by MA’AN Development Center with clothing assistance has reached 3,364 families in Jenin and Tulkarm, with support from multiple donors.
