MA’AN Development Center Conducts Training Workshop to Strengthen Community Committees’ Readiness for Agricultural Land Rehabilitation in the West Bank
MA'AN Development Center, in partnership with Oxfam and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) under the Transitional Development Assistance (TDA) program, conducted a training workshop for community committee coordinators and accompanying members from the targeted villages. The workshop was held at MA'AN Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as part of the ongoing implementation of the project “Building Resilience in West Bank Communities to Transform the Current Shock into a Sustainable Future.”
The workshop aimed to enhance the readiness of community committees to manage the phase of receiving applications for agricultural land rehabilitation. This was achieved through practical training on the electronic data entry system, enabling coordinators to transfer knowledge to farmers in their communities and support them in accurately completing application forms.
The session also included a discussion of the “Fact Sheet” for each village, which contains detailed information about the local context and development characteristics, contributing to the establishment of a comprehensive and accurate database to support future planning and interventions.
This workshop is part of a series of activities aimed at strengthening organized community-based work mechanisms, building the capacity of local committees, and ensuring the efficient and transparent implementation of agricultural land rehabilitation interventions, ultimately enhancing livelihoods and strengthening the resilience of local communities in the face of ongoing challenges.
