The Child Protection team at MA’AN Development Center, in collaboration with the Protection Cluster, conducted a series of specialized trainings on child protection as part of the Emergency Protection Responders (EPR) training. The sessions targeted volunteers and staff from humanitarian organizations working in the protection sector.
These trainings aimed to enhance participants’ capacities and strengthen their readiness to effectively respond to the needs of the most vulnerable groups, especially in light of the challenging humanitarian conditions and the increasing number of marginalized cases during emergencies.
The trainings covered specialized topics including basic protection concepts, psychological first aid, child protection risk monitoring, and safe referral pathways, contributing to improving the quality of humanitarian interventions during emergencies.
MA’AN Development Center and the Protection Cluster emphasized the importance of continuing these joint efforts to build the capacities of local staff and strengthen the protection system, ensuring a more effective and equitable humanitarian response for the most vulnerable populations.
