MA’AN Development Center Completes Rehabilitation of Wastewater and Stormwater Networks in Khan Younis Serving 20,000 Beneficiaries
MA’AN Development Center has completed a project to rehabilitate the sewage and rainwater networks in various areas of Khan Younis city, southern Gaza Strip, in cooperation with Khan Younis Municipality and the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility, with support from UNICEF.
This project is part of MA’AN’s emergency response interventions in water, sanitation, and hygiene in Gaza. It aimed to repair and maintain damaged sewage and rainwater networks to ensure continued sanitation services in the targeted areas.
The work included rehabilitating main networks and household connections, supplying, installing, and securing pipes and manholes of different sizes. Around 20,000 people benefited from this intervention.
