Rehabilitation of Tammun Basic School under the “Enhancing Resilience in the Jordan Valley” Project
MA’AN Development Center continues rehabilitation and renovation works at Tammun Basic School in Tubas Governorate, as part of the “Enhancing Community Resilience in the Jordan Valley” project, funded by the Norwegian Representative Office to the Palestinian Authority and in coordination with the Ministry of Education.
The school serves 324 students, in addition to 19 teachers, with a total of 343 direct beneficiaries. This makes the rehabilitation works a direct investment in improving the quality of the learning environment and enhancing the safety of students and educational staff.
The ongoing renovation works include: rehabilitation of classrooms, repair and treatment of cracks in the walls, roof insulation works, internal and external painting, and upgrading the electrical network and installing new panels.
Tammun Basic School is one of 9 schools that will receive comprehensive rehabilitation under the same funding, with the aim of improving educational infrastructure in the targeted areas of the Jordan Valley and creating a safe and supportive school environment that contributes to strengthening the resilience of the local community.
These interventions are implemented based on needs identified in coordination with the engineering teams at the Ministry of Education, to ensure a sustainable impact that serves students for years to come.
