Building on the successes of 2025: MA’AN and UNFPA continue youth and adolescent protection and empowerment activities in Gaza for 2026

MA’AN Development Center continues to implement the Youth and Adolescent Protection and Empowerment Project in the Gaza Strip for 2026, with funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), building on the positive results achieved in 2025.
The project responds to the growing humanitarian, psychological, and social challenges faced by young people in Gaza. It aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment that strengthens youth capacities, supports their mental and social well-being, and enables them to take a positive role in their communities.
The project includes youth-led community initiatives to promote participation and volunteering, along with life skills trainings focused on communication, leadership, and teamwork. It also provides age-appropriate awareness sessions on sexual and reproductive health, in addition to psychosocial support activities that help young people build resilience and cope with difficult conditions.
The project also continues to operate two youth centers in Khan Younis and Deir Al-Balah, offering safe spaces where young people can express themselves, develop their skills, take part in community initiatives, and work in a supportive environment that respects diversity.
The project highlights the importance of investing in youth and adolescents as a key driver of development and positive change, and reflects MA’AN Development Center’s commitment, in partnership with UNFPA, to providing sustainable programs that protect and empower young people and strengthen community resilience.
