MA’AN Development Center Implements Large-Scale Humanitarian Interventions to Improve Water and Sanitation Services for Displaced People in Gaza Strip

MA’AN Development Center implemented several humanitarian activities under the project “Emergency Response to Improve Displaced People’s Access to Water and Sanitation Services in Gaza”, funded by the joint program of the Danish and Norwegian Church Aid (DCA-NCA), from June to December 2025.

The activities included distributing 2,664 cups of drinking water to 14 camps in the Central and Khan Younis governorates, maintaining 18 sewage points in Khan Younis, and distributing 285 hygiene kits to displaced families. In addition, a water well in Nuseirat was rehabilitated to serve more than 10,000 people.

The center also provided awareness sessions to 6,153 people and carried out maintenance work on 29 mobile toilets in five camps, aiming to improve health conditions and strengthen the resilience of displaced people.
