MA’AN Development Center Distributes Safe Waiting Shelters in Several Villages to Strengthen Community Infrastructure

MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with World Vision and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), distributed safe waiting shelters in the villages of Al-Aqrabaniya, Beit Hasan, Kafr Qaddum, Far’ata, and Zeita Jamma’in.
The project included the installation of 16 safe shelters, each able to accommodate 6 to 8 people. To respect privacy, separate seating was provided for men and women.
The shelters were made of reinforced plastic to ensure durability and resistance to weather conditions, while allowing some sunlight to pass through. Each shelter was also equipped with a 100-watt solar-powered light to provide lighting at night and promote safe and sustainable use.
This activity is part of joint efforts to improve community infrastructure and provide safe and comfortable spaces that meet people’s needs, helping to strengthen community resilience and improve quality of life.
