MA’AN Development Center implemented three community initiatives as part of the Youth Partnership Forum Campaign in shelter centers in Khan Younis and the Central Governorate. The activities were carried out under the Youth Partnership Forum Project, funded by Solsoc, to support the participation and empowerment of women and youth in managing the centers.
The initiatives were implemented in coordination with three shelter centers. They included awareness sessions and psychological support for women, community open days, family visits, and the formation of a women’s volunteer team to support future activities. Safe spaces were also created for women and youth, and training was provided in communication and presentation skills. Women and youth were involved in managing activities to strengthen teamwork.
In addition, cleaning campaigns were organized, tools were distributed, and emergency response teams were formed to ensure a healthy and safe environment inside the shelters.
