Building the capacities and strengthening the skills of facilitators… an essential step toward effective engagement with the local community
As part of achieving the outcomes of the project “Enhancing Climate Action and Improving Nutrition Benefits for Marginalized Families in the West Bank,” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by MAAN Development Center, the capacities of facilitators involved in the project were strengthened through a specialized three-day training with the participation of an external expert and team members.
The training aimed to prepare participants to deliver environmental awareness messages related to climate change and its connection to food security and nutrition to the targeted local communities. The project targets around 400 families in 30 communities across the northern, central, and southern West Bank.
The facilitators will also help strengthen community connections by working with community-based organizations involved in the project through providing financial and institutional support. This aims to help deliver environmentally friendly food products to the target families, promote the wise use of natural resources, improve food security and healthy nutrition, and support local livelihoods.
Together, we work to raise environmental awareness that supports environmental sustainability, reduces the impacts of climate change, strengthens food security, and promotes sustainable food systems.
