MA’AN Development Center Concludes a Capacity-Building Program for Cooperatives and Strengthens Their Business Plans in Gaza
MA’AN Development Center implemented a capacity-building program for five cooperatives, with the participation of 10 representatives, as part of the Economic and Social Solidarity component within the Youth Partnership Forum project.
The program aimed to strengthen cooperatives’ capacities in cooperative principles and basics, legal empowerment, financial management, and marketing, in addition to developing practical and realistic business plans. This contributes to improving institutional performance and enhancing the economic sustainability of cooperatives.
The program also included on-the-job field visits to the supported cooperatives to improve product quality, provide direct technical follow-up, identify practical challenges, and work on addressing them to increase the efficiency of production and administrative processes.
This intervention comes within the framework of supporting and empowering cooperatives and strengthening their role in local economic development by combining theoretical capacity building with practical field follow-up, promoting partnership and social solidarity, and enabling cooperatives to face current economic challenges and achieve sustainable development impact.
