MA’AN Development Center Implements Awareness Workshops on Personal Hygiene and Public Health
MAAN Development Center, as part of the Multi-Sectoral Response Project funded by Solidarités International, is implementing awareness workshops on personal hygiene and public health practices. So far, 20 awareness sessions out of 30 have been conducted in several targeted areas, including the American University housing, displaced families from Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, and displaced Bedouin families from Farush Beit Dajan area.
These sessions targeted 243 women and focused on key topics such as handwashing, personal hygiene, cleaning and maintaining houses water tanks, safe solid waste disposal, safe water handling, and prevention of waterborne diseases.
The workshops used presentations and interactive discussions to promote healthy practices, in addition to introducing MAAN Center’s complaints and feedback mechanisms, to help raise awareness among beneficiaries.
