MA’AN Development Center Distributes 700 Youth Kits as Part of Youth Protection and Empowerment Efforts in Gaza
As part of its ongoing efforts to protect and empower young people and adolescents, MA’AN Development Center carried out a field activity that included the distribution of 700 adolescent kits in several shelters in Khan Younis. This activity was implemented under the “Youth and Adolescent Protection and Empowerment” project, funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
This activity responds to the growing needs of adolescents in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip. The kits include essential items that help adolescents maintain personal hygiene and dignity during emergencies. They also contain educational tools that support learning, mental well-being, and emotional resilience, helping adolescents cope better and improve their daily lives.
During the distribution, awareness sessions were conducted on personal hygiene management, self-care, and protection from gender-based violence, in addition to guidance on the proper use of the kit items.
The Youth and Adolescent Protection and Empowerment project in Gaza continues to support young people through various interventions, including life skills training, awareness on sexual and reproductive health, psychosocial support, and youth-led community initiatives.
