MA’AN Development Center Implements an Emergency Project to Enhance Community Safety and WASH Services
MA’AN Development Center is implementing an emergency project in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector, in partnership with DCA–NCA and with support from the Augustinus Foundation. The project also includes awareness activities on the risks of unexploded ordnance, targeting displaced and conflict-affected families in the northern West Bank.
As part of its efforts to improve community safety, MA’AN Development Center, in cooperation with the Jenin Governorate Emergency Committee, organized an awareness session on the risks of explosive remnants of war. The session was held at the Jenin Governorate headquarters, in the presence of the Deputy Governor Ahmad Al-Qasem, and under the guidance of the Governor of Jenin, Mr. Kamal Abu Al-Rub.
The session aimed to raise awareness among displaced and affected families about the dangers of unexploded ordnance and its remnants, and to encourage safe behavior, especially as displaced families return to their homes. It also focused on strengthening community readiness and promoting safety measures to reduce risks to individuals and the community as a whole.
