MA'AN Development Center Delivers Supplies for the Rehabilitation of Grape Vineyards in Al-Khader – Bethlehem

MA'AN Development Center, in partnership with the Bethlehem Directorate of Agriculture and Al-Khader Municipality, delivered metal supplies for the rehabilitation of grape vineyards to 16 male and female grape farmers affected in Al-Khader town, Bethlehem Governorate.
The distribution included T-posts, trellising and tying wires, and all materials required for constructing grape trellises, contributing to improved production and quality, and supporting the sustainability of this vital agricultural sector.
The distribution took place in the presence of Eng. Abdulwahab Halaika, Director General of the Bethlehem Directorate of Agriculture, Eng. Hussein Al-Subuh, Eng. Mutaz Awad, Eng. Fidaa Zawahreh, and Mr. Ghassan Al-Qaimari, Project Manager and representative of MA'AN Development Center, in addition to Mr. Ahmad Salah, Head of Al-Khader Municipality.
This activity was implemented as part of the project “Enhancing Resilience to Empower Local Communities in Bethlehem”, funded by HEKS/EPER, and implemented by MA'AN Development Center in partnership with the Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture.
It is worth noting that the grape vineyard rehabilitation activity benefited 26 dunums of grape vineyards owned by 16 families, through the provision of the necessary supplies for grape trellis construction, with the aim of enhancing farmers’ resilience and supporting the food value chain in Al-Khader, one of the leading grape-producing areas, where farmers rely on this season as a main source of income.
