MA’AN Development Center Implements Activities to Support Farmers in the Central Governorate under the Emergency Agricultural Intervention Project

MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with the Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER) and with support from Solidar Suisse, has completed the activities of the project "Emergency Agricultural Intervention to Improve Food Security and Increase Income for Families Affected by the Emergency in Gaza."
A total of 65 farmers benefited from the project. They received cash assistance and agricultural inputs, including seeds, seedlings, and fertilizers, to help them restore their livelihoods and improve their agricultural production.
The project also provided 3,250 working days for skilled workers in the agriculture sector, which helped reduce production costs for farmers and supported the targeted workers.
As part of the project activities, specialized awareness sessions were also held for farmers and workers. These sessions focused on the risks of unexploded ordnance and how to stay safe while working on agricultural land, aiming to protect them and raise community awareness about these dangers.
