Amid the repeated water and electricity cuts in Jenin and Tubas, the MA'AN Development Center implemented the project “Improving Water Supply and Renewable Energy in Health Facilities in the Northern West Bank”, funded by Action for Humanity and coordinated with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The project aims to ensure the continuity of essential health services in government facilities by:
Installing a 50 kW solar energy system at the Jenin Health Directorate to provide a sustainable electricity source during frequent power outages.
Building a 161 m³ concrete water tank at the Turkish Government Hospital in Tubas, and another 119 m³ tank at the Jenin Health Directorate to secure water supply during long interruptions.
Replacing 30 damaged water tanks at Jenin Governmental Hospital to ensure uninterrupted service to patients in all departments.
The project was carried out from July to October 2025, with active participation from the Tubas Municipality, the Tubas Electricity Company, and the Jenin Health Directorate, and under the engineering supervision of the Ministry of Health and MA'AN’s technical team.
This project strengthens the resilience and sustainability of health facilities by providing practical solutions to water and electricity shortages, ensuring that medical services continue for citizens in the most affected areas.
