MA’AN Development Center, in partnership with World Vision and with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented a vital project in the town of Kafr ad-Dik to address the problem of flooding in streets and agricultural lands caused by rainwater mixing with wastewater. This initiative was carried out as part of the “Green Palestine: Promoting a Sustainable Environment for Children, Their Families, and Communities in Areas B and C of the West Bank” project.
The project included the construction of a separate rainwater drainage network and the expansion of water culverts with a diameter of 80 cm over more than 200 meters. This intervention helped prevent water accumulation in the streets, made it easier for residents and children to reach their homes and schools, and protected agricultural lands from flooding, improving the overall living environment in the town.
This project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen community resilience and improve basic services in rural areas, contributing to better infrastructure and quality of life for residenن.
