MAA’AN Development Center Distributes Thousands of Health and Food Kits in Gaza to Enhance Resilience and Address Urgent Humanitarian Needs

MA’AN Development Center distributed thousands of hygiene and food kits in Gaza City and South Gaza between August and October 2025, with support from its international partners. This activity is part of MA’AN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen community resilience and respond to the urgent humanitarian needs of affected families.
With support from UNICEF, MA’AN carried out a series of humanitarian interventions that included distributing 3,135 Dignity Kits, 926 Hygiene Kits, and 237 PWD Kits for persons with disabilities. The center also distributed 10,363 packs of sanitary pads and 1,680 diaper packs (including 1,600 for children and 80 for the elderly), in addition to 31,289 gallons of water to vulnerable families. These activities aimed to improve hygiene and living conditions, especially for women, children, and people with disabilities.
With support from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), MA’AN distributed 514 Dignity Kits to women in marginalized areas to help meet their basic needs and improve their well-being in difficult economic and social conditions.
In partnership with ActionAid, the center distributed 549 Hygiene Kits to families in Gaza City and South Gaza as part of its ongoing efforts to promote personal hygiene and raise health awareness.
Through individual donations, MA’AN also distributed 550 Food Parcels to the most vulnerable families to support food security and help reduce the economic burden on affected households.
MA’AN Development Center affirmed that these efforts reflect its humanitarian and social commitment to supporting the most vulnerable groups in the Gaza Strip and strengthening international partnerships that help improve living conditions and enhance community resilience.
