MA’AN Development Center Launches an Initiative to Establish a Shared Workspace to Support Youth and Entrepreneurs in Deir al-Balah

As part of the project “Strengthening the Ability of Palestinian Refugees to Influence Their Living Conditions”, implemented by the Applied Research Institute/MA’AN in partnership with GIZ, the #Community_Change_Agents team launched a unique initiative with #Ajyal_Association to support #youth and enhance their job opportunities and productivity during #emergencies.
The initiative focused on setting up and furnishing a #shared_workspace inside the association’s office in #Deir_al_Balah. This space acts as a support hub for young entrepreneurs. It was equipped with desks, chairs, and electricity connections, while the association provided #high_speed_internet and a staff member to manage bookings and offer free support services.
A total of 13 young people, including 3 young women, took part in implementing the initiative. More than 90 youth have already benefited from it. This #workspace will help them continue their projects and entrepreneurial ideas despite the #difficult_humanitarian_conditions.
