The Community Change Agents team, through the project “Strengthening the ability of PalestinianRefugees to improve their living conditions” carried out by MAAN in partnership with GIZ, launched an environmental agriculture initiative in KhanYounis to produce local organicfertilizer (EM).
This initiative supports a local effort to make organic fertilizer from beneficial microorganisms using locally available materials. It aims to improve access to food, increase farm productivity in healthy and sustainable ways especially during emergencies and the shortage of farming supplies.
It also works on finding localalternatives to help #farmers reduce costs and provide freshfood for displaced families instead of relying on canned goods.
