MA’AN Development Center has launched Al-Amal Educational School in Deir al-Balah, as part of the project “Strengthening Resilience through Education and Child Protection,” funded by Action for Humanity. The initiative aims to enhance access to non-formal education, promote resilience, ensure continuity of learning, and support community-based protection mechanisms.
The project seeks to address the urgent needs of children affected by conflict in Gaza by providing integrated services in education, protection, mental health, and psychosocial support.
It primarily targets boys and girls aged 6 to 18 by establishing and operating a safe educational space equipped with necessary furniture, materials, and comprehensive facilities. The project also includes case management services for children at risk, including survivors of violence, unaccompanied and separated children, in addition to providing mental health and psychosocial support and life skills development.
The launch of the educational school in Deir al-Balah marks a new step toward expanding access to non-formal education and is a continuation of MA’AN’s efforts to support the resilience of children affected by the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip.
