MA’AN Development Center Meets with DCA and NCA to Strengthen Humanitarian and Development Responses in Palestine
A meeting was held between MA'AN Development Center, represented by its General Director Mr. Sami Khader, and representatives of DCA and NCA, during which an in-depth discussion took place regarding the situation in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The meeting reviewed the escalating humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people, as well as the unprecedented challenges confronting civil society organizations, governmental institutions, and the private sector.
The meeting also addressed humanitarian, relief, and development interventions and programs aimed at strengthening citizens’ resilience and mitigating the impact of the current crisis. A number of proposals were presented to enhance and expand the developmental and humanitarian partnership between the parties, enabling a more effective response to growing needs, particularly in the agriculture and water sectors, in addition to contributing to addressing rising unemployment rates and promoting economic empowerment opportunities for youth and women.
