The spokesperson for United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), James Elder, visited the Northern Jordan Valley, specifically the Al-Farisiya – Nab’ Al-Ghazal community, where MA’AN Development Center is implementing a water trucking activity funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
The visit aimed to observe the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by families in the area, who are subjected to ongoing attacks by settlers, including being denied access to natural water sources and restrictions on their ability to graze livestock—factors that increase the risk of forced displacement.
During the visit, James Elder met with several residents and listened to their daily struggles and the challenges they face under these harsh conditions, emphasizing the importance of continuing humanitarian interventions to support their resilience.
He also praised the efforts of MA’AN Development Center’s team in implementing interventions and activities that directly contribute to strengthening the resilience of residents in the Northern Jordan Valley and alleviating the severity of the humanitarian crisis they face.
