Conclusion of Five Training Camps to Support and Empower 152 Women under the “AFAQ 3” Project.
MA'AN Development Center, with funding from the Norwegian Representative Office, concluded the implementation of five specialized training camps under the “Afaq 3” project, targeting 152 women applicants for economic and social empowerment grants. The camps aimed to enhance participants’ capacities, support the development of their own businesses, and strengthen their active participation in economic and community life.
The camps included intensive and specialized training programs designed to equip participants with the practical knowledge and skills needed to manage their projects efficiently and sustainably. Beneficiaries attended life skills training consisting of 25 training hours per camp, focusing on developing personal and practical skills, enhancing self-confidence, and strengthening their ability to effectively engage in entrepreneurial and business environments.
Participants also received specialized entrepreneurship training totaling 30 training hours per camp, aimed at helping them transform their entrepreneurial ideas into clear and feasible business plans, while equipping them with the essential managerial and analytical skills needed to establish successful and sustainable enterprises.
On the legal side, a 4-hour training session on legal procedures was conducted for each camp to enhance beneficiaries’ awareness of their legal rights related to entrepreneurship and enable them to manage their businesses within a safe and fair legal framework, contributing to the protection and sustainability of their projects.
Throughout the camps, participants succeeded in preparing initial business plans for their own projects, reflecting the level of benefit and progress they achieved during the training program. In the next phase, participants will present their projects before an evaluation committee in preparation for selecting 100 projects out of the 152 submitted applications, opening the way for beneficiaries to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into viable and sustainable businesses
