MA’AN Conducts Two Open Days in Jerusalem

As part of the Child Resilience Project, MA'AN Development Center held two open days for children participating in the Child Resilience project’s activities. Around 350 boys took part in  the activities held during the open days. The participating schools were, Shufat Boys School from Shufat Camp and Al Hasan Al Thani School from Jerusalem.

The open day at Al Hasan Thani was held on 9th October 2014, for 100 boys. 250 boys from Shufat school participated in the open day on 14th October 2014.
Several activities took place during the open days, including: clown shows, face paints, moonwalks, dancing, songs, recreational activities and helium balloons.
Children were involved in the feedback, and they indicated that they enjoyed the activities a lot. It’s worth mentioning that MA’AN is implementing these open days at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, based on the need to conduct debriefing activities and recreational activities especially after the war on Gaza and all the political instabilities in Jerusalem and Shufat during the previous months.
