Offices and Facilities

MA’AN has offices in Ramallah and Gaza.

Ramallah

Our main administration office is located in Ramallah on the 4th floor of the Chamber of Commerce Building.  MA'AN also occupies the 2nd floor which is a fully equipped training facility.   

MA’AN’s administration and training premises are located in the center of Ramallah.  This makes the Center accessible to a large constituency.  Trainees using our facilities can easily leave the premises for hot meals or we can provide the meals for them.

 

Administration Office Our main administration office consists of: Seven rooms, a reception area, resource center and a kitchenette Seventeen  fulltime employees           Each employee is set up with a laptop or desk top  computer Each computer is equipped with:       MS-Office XP       Windows XP       MS-Project Each of our computers is connected to a network printer Each computer is connected to the Internet and E-mail Services through a leased line with 24 hour access The main office also has  4 Printers, a high quality  colored laser printer and 3 black and white laser printers   Photocopying machine,    Facsimile machine   Scanner   Binding machine  3 Digital Cameras  Video camera   A Sieman's Switchboard with 4 external lines and 20               internal lines HP (Compaq) Server Proliant 350.  Library and Resource Unit Our Library and Resource Unit specializes in the fields of Management and Management Training, Business Administration and Finance, Development, Capacity Building, Agriculture and Permaculture plus many others. It contains: ·                   4,000 books in Arabic and English ·                  A large collection of articles and documents ·                 Weekly and Monthly journals, magazines, newsletters, and pamphlets in the Management and Administrative fields   ·             Many management training manuals in both the Arabic and English languages, purchased from the best publishers in Europe, the United States and Arab countries   ·            Training videos; you can find a wide selection  of videos mainly  in management training courses, which makes it the best in Palestine ·               Audio-cassettes ·              Multi-media CDs, which can be used in conjunction with  training in groups or by an individual, especially in Management Training ·             Internet services for access to global networking  ·          All of the library resources are classified according to and using the CDS-ISIS program

2nd Floor - Training Facilities

There are two training rooms, with a capacity for approximately 24 participants each, as well as a computer laboratory with 16 computers  connected through a leased line to the Internet and e-mail

All three halls are equipped with: ·                      White boards ·                      Flip-charts ·                      TV ·                      VCR ·                      Video camera ·                      Video recorder ·                      Audio-cassette player ·                      Overhead projector ·                      Slide projector ·                      Screen ·                      LCDs ·                      Panaboard ·                      Pinboards  Two rooms for group discussions are available.  They are furnished with tables and chairs, white boards and flip charts.  All our halls and group discussion rooms are up-to-date in furniture and equipment for the maximum comfort of the trainees such as: ·                      Excellent lighting ·                      Automatic Central Heat and Air Systems   Excellent ventilation   All rooms are smoke free MA’AN’s two floors are connected with an elevator lift, within the premises.  This allows for ease of mobility for our trainees and staff, rapid transfer of materials and round-the-clock supervision over the training by our coordinators. In addition to professional training facilities, the center in Ramallah is equipped to do food processing and quality control training.

Gaza
The center in Gaza has a training room that can accommodate 20 participants, equipped with an overhead projector, a white board, LCD, Screen and flip-charts.  Additionally, the center has two training kits used to train agricultural engineers in 45 tests for soil treatment, water testing, sewage testing, and soil chemical detection.  There is also a CD-ROM monitor and all tools necessary for engine repair for the fisheries program, and a tool kit used for sewing machine maintenance.
